Mothers Day: Do not order from Teleflora!
« on: May 08, 2010 - 08:20:20 AM »
Luckily I was home for the LATE arrival of what was to be an amazing flower arrangement for my wifes very first Mothers Day. We will be out all day tomorrow and they wouldn't deliver on Sunday so this was the only chance to get them to her before hand.

I am too frustrated to type much, but after going through at least 5 customer service reps that clearly did not use English as a first language, the order arrived 2 1/2 hours late. AND it looked like some dried out reject which did not include the limited vase which looked sweet in pictures.

Let me add that one phone conversation went like this: CS = customer service, Me = Me

CS: Hello sir, I have just spoken with the Florist and they tell me that the order has been delivered but they do not know who signed for it.

Me: I am home, and this order most certainly did not get delivered yet

CS: Well, they tell me that the truck did not get back yet and it will be delivered today

Me: So first you're telling me that it was delivered and they do not know who has it, Now you're saying that it hasn't been delivered.

CS: That is correct.

Me: So you're saying that someone else has my flowers.

CS: They tell me that the lates delivery is @ 3pm

Me: Well, its 2:30pm and they haven't been delivered. I didn't pay $xx.xx to give someone else flowers

CS: Can you repeat that?

Me: The flowers were for my wife, and I did not order flowers for someone else!!!

CS: I will call you back if they give me a different answer.

Me: AHHHHHH!!!  :banghead:

forgot to add that I sent them back to the ghetto florist they came from!! and cancelled my moms order for Tomorrow. What a waste!  :villagers:

Finding a reliable florist is a PITA! My wife sends out to my parents and others for special occasions. She had one special place she always dealt with with no probs... the owners retired and sold out. That was about 5 years ago... been a flip of the coin ever since.  :hyper:  :banghead: Even locally just because you call florist "A" thats no garuntee thats where your stuff is coming from. I also had similar things happen to me for Valentines/Birthdays for the wife. Someone telling me they were delivered.... NOT!!!

Not really rare, but I dont think flowers are a day to day part of the culture here vs europe. And yes most stuff I grab is from the local pic n save... including for tomorrow. There's just times when that dont work...

I would never spend what I spent, but I was trying something different.

Anyway, it looks like I should be getting a refund.  :cooldancing:

I got my mom cookies and treats from the Cheryl & Co. website.

Arrived on time and she loved them.  :2thumbs:

Consider another option next occasion. If you live out of the area you still can use the familiar local florist that you and your family has used for years back home. Any teleflorist requires you credit card number etc. so why not just phone the local florist and give them the same information to bill your account, they then will personally deliver your order. This procedure has worked for me for quite a few years, and just ask them to make a phone call to the delivery address to assure someone will be home.  :2thumbs:

:iagree: That's the answer. I wouldn't use Pro-flowers either. I call a florist about two miles from my mother's house and order from them. They are awesome. Very polite and top notch. Been using them for years. A coworker ordered flowers for his girlfriend on line for a Valentines surprise. They charged his account for 5 orders. They also sent five orders. He only ordered one arrangement. Go figure!! :screwy:
