Shaker Hood Air Cleaner Removal

At the risk of sounding stupid, I need to know how to remove the shaker hood air filter assembly off my 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A Converible.  It's a 426 hemi crate motor with a stock '70 shaker hood set-up.  I just picked the car up this weekend, have never had a shaker set-up before.

The bolts around the outside lip need to be removed and you can lift off the shaker, from there it's easy to remove the airfilter assembly.

first you need to remove the bolts that hold the shaker bubble down,then check to make sure it has control cables which it should,you will need to disconnect the cable going to the vent doors on the shaker,lift the bubble and remove the cable from the base and bingo there it is.

Thanks for the very good advice.  How are vent doors on the shaker unit controlled?

there is a cable under the dash to the belcrank on the shaker base , as 1 door is opened with the belcrank the other door is closed off
