Ok so picture this. My 'grille is a mess. Needs a polish and a fresh coat of paint. It's full of dings that need to be taken out.
What material is it? And it it clear coated? Chromed? Anodized?
Before I take it apart I'd like to know what it is and the best course of action for restoring it properly.
Thanks!

you do not want to strip the clear anodizing off , just tap out the dents & repaint with either the coarse argent paint or SEM trim black paint

Thanks Cryco, it's pretty chipped up and dull. Polishing didn't make it much better. I'll give it another try.
