Wiper Blades
« on: May 21, 2010 - 09:11:27 PM »
I have seen threads here that talked about wiper blades and how the new ones do not fit. True statement when using the crap that you get at those parts warehouses. The saying goes "keep and use the old ones". Trouble is the old ones get sloppy pins etc so they clack and bang around a bit. What happens to the new (especially plastic ones) is that they are too high off the windshield and do not clear the underside of the hood when they park. Lots of people think their bottom chrome trim is the problem but it is not. The wipers will climb over that if they are allowed to raise enough and not hit the hood.  Don't know if anyone has said this before but there is a new fix. I found new Trico Exact-Fit blades Cat# 16-2 that are listed for Challenger/Cudas 70-74. They are all metal, low profile and attach like the old ones. Put mine on today and voila they work perfect.
Hope this helps someone.
