I`d go with the burnt orange. It`s a beautifull and popular color, plus you rule out dicussions with potential buyers about it being the wrong color.

Black or red for resale. Those two colours appeal to the broadest cross section of buyers IMO. Original colour is important to some buyers, but a lot more don't care.

Do not underestimate the emotional influence Vanishing Point can have over a potential buyer. A White '70 R/T will bring more interest than any other combo.

I'd agree with this if you could be certain that a person reasonably familiar with Challengers was going to buy it. Otherwise, if, say, it's just somebody who wants to find a cool musclecar to tool around in, the white=Vanishing Point link won't mean anything.

Well, talked with a bunch of local Mopar people plus some "regular" car guys.  Decided it is going to be FE5 Rallye Red.  The reasoning is pretty simple, the original color is one that only real "hardcore" Mopar fans like and even then since the fender tag and broadcast sheets are MIA the original color does not add much to it.  Plus, Rallye Red appeals to the larger audience and since I am not doing a full blown restoration, the fact that it will be a really pretty muscle car will make other potential buyers consider it that would not even look twice at FK5 Burnt Orange...

On a side not - Man I forgot how expensive Red Base Coat is compared to other colors...
