Door glass and weather stripping
« on: June 24, 2010 - 03:22:15 PM »
Hey all, I'm about to start putting the doors together and pulled out the parts. Is there any particular order that should be followed for all the weather stripping? There are a number of different pieces and it's been over a decade since I took the car apart. Not only that but the weather stripping is clipped and glued on so I don't want to do it more than once.

I want to get the doors put together. I'm going to order some new exterior door handles and don't really want to put things together that I'll need to take apart later.

Also, does anyone supply the parts for the glass guides? These are the adjustable pieces that have the padding on them that pushes against the glass to keep it in place. Not sure if I'm explaining these right. Maybe just new padding.

the  weather stripping at the bottom of the window has to go in after the glass as wel as the end seals on the lower stripping around the bottom of the door
new supports are available /fuzzys to support the glass , Tom @ R/T has them possibly BEA also
