OK lets pick the fly **** out of the pepper, lol. Why doesnt anyone hear me?????I said 70-71 is better but i like the safety advances in 72-74,not the engine combos.Case in point,my 70 barracuda gran coup is drum brakes with a 383 magnum and my chally has it all.The new 340 for my chally has ALOT more horses than the 70-71 and the numbers motor is bagged, same thing with the cuda, the new 383 is around 450 horse and the numbers engine is bagged also.WHats my point? They are all nice cars,i just hate doing disc brake swaps. Also the 3 cars i sold in the past year(kick myself but needed the money)
68 coronet r/t 440 mag drum brakes
68 charger r/t clone 440 mag drum brakes
68 charger r/t 440 mag,dana,hemi 4 speed drum brakes
Get it???I hate front drum brakes

I do have to add, your point about not having 15 inch wheels, not all of us want them.I live way back in the hills on windey roads and love the cornering of an e body with 14's,i wouldnt put 15's on them for anything. You raise the car,you raise the center of gravity,I like um Looooooooowwwww

My point being, if we need to justify why one year E-body is better than the others , maybe it is time to buy yourself another musclecar altogether, maybe a Dart or Coronet Super Bee- so you can re-focus.  Or, dare I say it ? Another brand so we can have dual loyalties , say Mopar and Pontiac, than you could argue with yourself which is better, your Challenger or RamAir GTO Judge in Orbit orange.   :-* :-*

I was pointing out that the engine options were not only better in 1970 but also a lot of other options were available then and not after.

Why?? because someone posted that "1970 were only better for engines but 1972-74 was better for everything else" So maybe they should have a look at buying another brand if that is waht your suggesting.

They posted what they thought I just posted some facts about 1970 options that were not available for other years.   8)

I like ALL E-Bodies.
