Great to hear!  Where are you, by the way?  I'm just curious because I'm in the Semiconductor biz, also, but a lot of the work we do is as a sub so we can bounce around pretty good.  Things seem to be picking up out here in Dallas.

The day before I was laid off my wife left her full time position in the medical field as a RRT to complete a BS in Nursing but doing a 4yr class in only 16 months so tensions have been high at times around here. She is in class or doing papers and taking tests every week. She is at it 16-20 hours a day, some of the papers she has to turn in are 3000-5000 words and she may have 2 or 3 needed each week. She also attends class 3 days a week and also does clinical's at various hospitals each week. She is at it 7 days a week and she is still carrying a 3.9 GPA. She wanted me to retire and stay at home and just work on Nicks Classic Parts and my cars but I cant do that and feel good about myself,,,,,, God Bless Her  :angelwings:

:2thumbs: Great news, and congratulations Nick. Also your last post makes it very obvious that two people like you and your wife working together can and will get through any problem. She is obviously a sweetie and you seem like a nice guy too  :roflsmiley:. Congratulations again.

That is awesome news Nick.  Our family can so relate to the stress you've been under.  My wife was laid off from her banking position and after almost exactly TWO YEARS she finally landed an office job for a heating & air company and the main reason they agreed to interview her was that she knew the wife of one of the owners.  Things are incredibly tough out there, but I keep hearing about people finally landing jobs so hopefully the worst of it is behind us!  Congrats again and take your wife out to a nice dinner.

That's what I thought.  I've been out there a couple times for some work, and my brother-in-law used to be there at Davis-Montham (sp?), so we made a few family trips.  Congrats, again.

Congratulations Nick you deserve the job, at least others will see your worth as well which may make it easier to get another job if this one doesn't go beyond the 6 months. Keep your ears open for opportunities, employers tend to employ somebody who is employed rather than an unemployed person.

Congratulations!

I never knew you were a Mech. Engineer - There are quite a few of us around here!

Hopefully, this gives you enough security that you can grow Nick's Classic Parts at a pace that you are comfortable with.  Best wishes for you and your wife in your new ventures!
