It was great meeting Ken and Scott and your wives!  Too bad it rained most of the day Saturday but I still had a great time and hope to make it back next year.
Today it was actually sunny but I could only stick around for a couple hours and still ended up getting back too later for my niece's graduation party. :dunno:
My new Challenger got its first exposure to rain but got close to 28 mpg on the trip home so I was happy with that.
Probably the highlight of the trip (other than meeting a couple of c-c.com members of course!) was going to the Saturday evening party at Gregg Nelson's "Mopar Ponderosa", some of the cars he has at his place were mind boggling (2 71 hemi Challengers, one black one gunmetal gray, 2 hemi wing cars, a curious yellow 440 6 pack '71 cuda convertible, these are not clones, and much more) and a lot of well known Mopar people were there like Rob Wolf from MCG, and with a lot of the guest's mighty Mopars parked around the place it was like the ultimate Mopar party!
I'll post some pics after I get them downloaded and get caught up around the house here after being gone for a few days.

It was great to meet you guys also. It's always fun when we can get together and put faces to the people that we sometimes only know as screen names. Glad you had a safe trip home and I trust Scott and his wife did the same. Maybe next year we can have better weather and some more people. It would be nice then if we could go out and have a meal together and chat longer without getting wet.

Had a great time @ the show and meeting you guys. I had planned on spending the whole day but by mid afternoon we were pretty wet and badly in need of a change of footwear. :eek4:
I got a call from Mopar Maniac after we had left. Due to the weather, previous events ran late preventing him from getting there until late so we missed him.

My new Challenger got its first exposure to rain
I think that may have been true of a number of cars - like that row of hemi cars we were looking at.

It would be nice then if we could go out and have a meal together and chat longer without getting wet.

Sorry I didnt get a chance to meet up with any of you guys.  Between whipeing down the car, trying to avoid the rain and see every thing I don't think I stopped moving except to eat all weekend.
The challenger did win first place for Dodge and Desoto Convertibles though. Here is a link to the pics taken by the show http://www.flickr.com/photos/midwestmopars/

This time last week I was heading over to the Mopar Ponderosa for the show he had in conjunction with the car show.
When I pulled into the driveway I was looking for a place to park among the bunch of trucks and other daily driver type cars when a kid on a bike waved me up the hill to park with a bunch of musclecars parked by the buildings.  I felt sort of honored by that!

Three buildings were open, and my jaw dropped when I walked into the first building an saw an unrestored '71 hemi Challenger on display next to a '71 cuda 440-6 convertible!

Then I walked over to the next building and was pretty amazed at the cars I saw in there!

There was another '71 hemi Challenger in this building:

And both those wing cars were hemis too!

This cuda was a V code

There was also a white '71 hemi cuda and a black hemi '69 Charger in that building.
The third building was more of a storage building, a few interesting cars but mainly cars for sale or being stored.
He also had a number of parts cars outside that were interesting, Challengers, cudas, and Roadrunners.
And free pizza and drinks.  Thanks to Greg Nelson for his hospitality and sharing his amazing collection!
If you ever make it up to the Mopars in the Park show in MN, make it a point to go to the Saturday night party at the Mopar Ponderosa, you won't be disappointed!
