How to clean my original paint

I have a 1998 Trans Am(I know, not a Mopar).  Black exterior paint.  No scratch's or finger prints, etc.   I purchased this car brand new and have babied this car the whole time.  I have only spray cleaned the car over the 12 years.  It is starting to show some oxidation or haze on the paint. 
  I need to know how and what to clean my car with.  My largest concern is creating swirl marks or those spider lines that show up from wiping the car down.  I had an identical car that looked terrible after taking it to the car wash's around town.

  All I ever see on tv is Mcguires car wash and wax.  Any good?

What do I do?  What do the pros use to make em shine?

You might want to consider Clay barring the car first. It really works well getting any embedded dirt and particles up out of the paint prior to buffing/waxing.
