I had the pleasure of meeting Roger several years ago, at his old shop in Kelso, MO. It was a large barn-like building next to his house. I live just about 1-1/2 hrs. from there. I was considering restoring a high-dollar Mustang at the time (ended up selling it, instead). I know, I know.....Ford!
He was the most genuine, patient, and meticulous person. At the time, he had several cars he was doing. He had a '69 Charger R/T (owned by a Pittsburgh Steeler player), a '70 Hemi 'Cuda, and a '70 Challenger R/T (a 6-Pack car, if I remember correctly), among others. The 'Cuda's nuts, bolts, washers, etc. were all laying out on a huge table. He had his help going through the process of segmenting these small items into groups for refinishing, according to the correct factory finish (i.e. gold anodized, natural, silver cad., etc.). His hourly rate at the time, this was probably around 1991 or 1992, I believe was $45/hr. Huh, try to get rate now! Bottomline, if you ever need a concourse Mopar Nat's. restoration, Roger is the guy.
