manual 4 speed wont shift into 2nd.

When i give it a good amount of gas like merging onto a freeway, it will not shift into 2nd at all. No grinding is heard, the stick just wont pull back into second. Once the car slows down the transmission will shift normally again.

Does not do this while cruising around, only after a moderate to hard acceleration.

I am wondering if your engine mount is stretching and causing the linkage rods to bind or the equalizer bar=tq arm is going off center, binding the shifter fork and throw out bearing on the trans collar.  Just wondering out loud

the sliders in the syncro could be moving outward with centrifical force & riding over the syncro ring blocking the shift
 I would talk to Brewers or Passon about the problem
