Pulled the tranny pan and inspected , looks Ok to me ?
« on: June 16, 2010 - 11:05:11 PM »
When I bought my car the owner said the tranny only had like 10 miles on it since it was rebuilt.Rebuilt means different things to different people?  :sly: BUT when I got the car it had no kickdown linkage, so I wondered if it was toasted? So I pulled off the pan and it looked pretty clean to me but I'm no expert? The fluid smelled Ok ( not burnt) and the filter was clean as a whistle. A few particles at the bottom of the pan but not much. I have never driven the car yet, long story , (just don't use DAS auto shipping!) I took a picture of a white cloth I used to clean out the bottom of the pan to see what was there?
I'm wanting to drive this to Carlisle but I want to be sure as I can that I won't have any trouble on the way?( 9 hour drive)
Any opinions?
