Well, took the car out over the weekend for its first trip since its arrival last week. Was a blast... but looked under the car this evening and I'm loosing tranny fluid.
Come to see that the line leading into the back of the tranny (in bound line?) is rubber and was laying on the exaust... and ... melted...
I traced the line to the engine compartment and it dissapears into a hole under the master cylindar.
My manuals have not arrived yet so I have no clue where it goes from there.
I want to replace the rubber line with steel... there is an after market tranny cooler up front... I'm thinking of getting a stock line to at least get it up front and then connect to the cooler via rubber if I have to.
My real question is... who sells "stock" lines? I have not successfully found them (I have a '73 Cuda).
Alternatively, I've laided down brake line before, I'm assuming it would be a similar process if I just get the right line to start with. I'm hoping the manual would have the specs for the right diameter tube.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
