removing chrome moldings on qtr panel / trunk
« on: October 29, 2004 - 10:46:28 AM »
How to remove the chrome moldings [ the inverted L shaped ones ] on the trunk section of a Barracuda ?
I haven't really looked inside but one of the clips is busted and my molding is loose at the top. I don't want to lose it while going down the freeway from air drag. :(
Figure I'd ask here before I attempt to remove it, maybe there is a trick to it, don't need to bend it...  Thanks.

I'm figuring that Cuda's are like Challengers. If you open up the trunk and look inside at those buggers, you'll see three 3/8 inch nuts attatched to those clips. It is possible for a clip to come out from underneath the trim, and seem useless. Maybe that's all that happened to you ??? This isn't a tricky situation by any means.
