What a mess!
That rain all went north of my area, but we did get a big rainstorm last night, I found a little water in my basement this morning.  :pullinghair:
Fortunately I had just got home yesterday afternoon after being in NC for 2 weeks on my new job so I was here to clean up the water and dry up the carpet!
Did last nights storm hit WI too, or just here in IL?
How's things looking up there for the Mopar day at Great Lakes dragstrip in Union Grove WI tomorrow?  I was planning to head up there to check it out but I'd hate to drive 60 miles to find it's flooded out!

Dang, it's getting wild out there in the belt. I never thought this type of weather shows up out in the mid in the middle of Summer.

Dave, thanks for the kinds words... were all good here.

Brad, weathers lookin good for Sunday! We're gonna be there, come on up!! Yes it did rain here again from about 2AM till about 8AM

John, I like that ark idea! Thing of it is thats happened (the sinkhole) on North Ave before. Just about a mile or 2 west.

Mike as of today they have given certail homeowners "raise" orders because of extensive foundation damage. Seems to be the north end of town had worse damage. but lots of folks around here had mega damage too. I suspect a rash of flood cars at he auction in the next few weeks.

This is bad we had it on our news over here the other day, do they know what has caused it. I thought it happened because of under ground water/streams washing away and the surface just falls in.
Glad you and your family including Nikki are safe, non can be replaced, pray that your business is safe too.

The creek gave up a body yesterday. Dont know if its (he) been identified yet. From what I understand a few homes will be raised this week. But the family has survived well. My dads home was the worst but nothing extreme. Flood insurance is something out of the norm around here. This will be financially devastateing for some thats for sure.

Let me give an update on the sinkhole. The vehicle in it was a late model Escalade. The owner had just filled the tank. When he got out he left his keys in (even aft I got t-boned a few years ago I instinctivley took my keys) and it was running. Then the stop light fell in on top it. They were afraid to move it, so the waited till the Escalade ran out of gas! Then did the removal.

Thanks for all the kind words.

They can also be caused by underground caverns collapsing.
