Big Block Motor Mounts

I've been lurking around this awesome site since I bought my project 1974 Challenger almost 4 years ago. I can usually find the answers to my questions via the search, however, I couldn't come up with much for this.

My car is originally a 318 vehicle that I am installing a 440 in. My question is, will big block motor brackets from, let's say any 70's A, B or E body work? I know about the Schumacher mounting kit, but, if I can find a used set for $50, it's better than dropping $150.

Again, this site has been and will continue to be an excellent resource for me. Thanks.

If your car is fitted for spool mounts, the only thing you need is the mounts for a bigblock. If you have the biscuits, you need the bigblock brackets for the block, and everything else is the same.

The car does not have the spool mounts.

The engine originally came out of a '77 Dodge D200 truck. Would those brackets work? Or, do I have to use car brackets?

I just check an on-line parts store(O'Reilly) & the mounts for a 77 Big Block Pickup are NOT the same as a Big Block E-body, but the small block e-body are the same as Big Block E-body.
  I know A-body used a different setup

You're referring to the rubber mounts, right?

I'm talking about the actual brackets that bolt to the block.

Chrysler # 2536132, for the right side, and 2863751 for the left. Notice the left hand bracket will have a tube welded across the channel area of the mount (shown above on the right) making it easy to distinguish from the right side bracket. These were used on B bodies from 1966-72, C bodies from 1966-73 and E bodies from 1970-74. The right hand bracket (2536132) was also used on the passenger side of big block A bodies from 1967-69 with our 101-1063 insulator. Great replacement brackets for missing or damaged originals on factory big block cars, or for transplanting a big block into a small block car (except A-body) of the above years and body styles. No k member changes are required.

I will need those too, I had my 383 in my 78 powerwagon for a year or two so I had modified my original mounts... but I dont want twice modified looking mounts when the motor goes into my cuda
