Grill crack repair
« on: July 24, 2010 - 03:59:53 AM »
Hi guys... found some old theads on this.  Was wondering if Plast-aid, SEM #39767 and 3M 5883 were still recommended for minor crack repairs.

Is there something newer or better?

Thanks
Alan

I had to repair the grill on my 71 cuda. A minor fender bender had broke off  a corner and had split the grill right down the center.  I used SEM 39768 -- called problem plastic repair material.  It is a two part epoxy that was easy to sand also.  I don't know what the difference is between the SEM products # are--39767 or 39768 ect. but my grill turned out great.

I used gray JB Weld epoxy, on the back side for a cracked beak.
