Barracuda project
« on: July 21, 2010 - 12:56:06 AM »
Just bought a Barracuda -70 Gran Coupe with 318" engine. Body is in good shape, but floors and frame rails needs a lot of help. Car was imported from Ohio to Finland last winter.

Here is some pics

Looks like something fun to do on those cold Finish winters... and falls... and springs...

Does it even get warm in Finland?  hahahaha... just kidding...

Have fun with the new Barracuda!

Haha, actually this summer has been very, very hot. But yes there is a lot of time in winter to stay in the garage :)

I don't know much about the color, but it looks like the Barracuda has been repainted sometime. The mirrors and bumbers has the same color as the car..guess someone has repainted them.

Are they Elastomeric bumpers? Might explain the same color as the body. I see you are also in need of rear brake drums, you can get them off ebay for 30 bucks. Have fun hunting for parts!

Comming from Ohio........there will be rust issues.  They use a ton of salt on the roads........Start stripping her down and don't be surprised as you go.   Good Luck.

Once it is done and you are out driving it around it will be worth the time and effort. I have had a (1)AAR 340-6 4 speed(4) 72 Cudas (3) 73 Cudas and now another 1972 Cuda with 440-6 with 525hp. So I have done my share of parts hunting. But it was all worth the work in the end.  Can not wait to see how you do setting it up.
