My Dads 1970 Cuda Project

Hello again everybody,

I thought I would make a thread with my dads restoration of his 70 Cuda. He isn't the most tech savvy so I dont think I'll ever get him to join an online message board. So here we go with a thread about his restoration.

He's owned his car since 1978 when he bought it from NC and drove it back up on his honeymoon. He didnt like the color so as soon as he got it home he tore it apart down to the bare shell where it sat like that until 1996 when he decided to sell it to his boss. Fast forward 12 years, the car remained exactly how it did when my dad sold it to his boss with the exception that his boss managed to drop the grill and shatter it into a bunch of pieces. He also cut a strip out of the passenger floor to put in sub frame connectors. He didnt finish the subframe connector so when my dad bought the car back in 2008 it had a 1 1/2 inch wide strip that went from the front torsion bar mount all the way to the back cut out.

He bought this car from his boss and my 1970 Cuda "parts car" (which I bought from my dad, see my thread titled My 1970 Cuda Restoration http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=70523.msg721033#msg721033)

He sent the car to Fast Lane Sports also to have the body redone.

Yeah he's a little ahead of me in terms of the body lol. Our body guy starts on my car again in 3 weeks so hopefully my car can catch up fast. I do have a jump on him in terms of drivetrain though, I already have my motor rebuilt and he still has to rebuild his hehe
