440, 400, Challenger fenders - free delivery to the NATS

I have a few parts to sell - not trying to get rich, just trying to get some of my money back and make some room. I can definitely deliver the smaller stuff to the Nats and I will try my best to deliver the larger stuff as well (may be taking a truck down, not sure yet). Pictures to come shortly.....

$200 1977 440 – Shortblock only (cam, rods, pistons, crank, block) cast crank engine, needs to be totally rebuilt….sold strictly as a core.

$225 - 1972 400 longblock - has a thin dampener on the front and may be a forged crank engine, not sure and didn’t care because I was going to build a stroker out of it. Was told when I bought it that it ran strong and was pulled due to a blown transmission. I never opened it up and verified the condition of it. The engine has 346 heads on it and would make a great stroker engine, as the 72s are ‘supposed’ to be one of the better years.

$??? - Big block 727 – Needs to be rebuilt, but will make an excellent core….just don’t know what they are worth.

$50 - 833 Aluminum main case – I bought this to loose some weight but went in another direction. Great addition for anyone doing a transmission rebuild.

$250 - 1970 Passenger’s fender – was rusty, but patched up and looks pretty good. Was done by professional bodyman and I have before pictures (need to find them). The fender has a filler primer on it, which is dirty from sitting on my car for a while. A good fender, but needs work to be perfect.

$275 - 1970 Driver’s fender – Fender was in great shape when given to the same bodyman that did the passenger fender. Has same filler primer on it as the passenger fender. This fender is in great shape and will need just a little work to make perfect.

$60 - Viscous fan – Used for maybe 200 miles – swapped it out for an electric setup after going with aluminum radiator and March pulleys.

The following items are possibly for sale – My father’s stuff and I don’t know a price, make an offer:

E-body 3-speed manual transmission – May possibly need a rebuild, unsure because vibration could have been in the clutch or driveshaft that were replaced at the same time as the 3-speed. Included is a Hurst 3 speed shifter and t-handle.

1968 383 HP long block –The engine was rebuilt in 1977 and has less then 10k miles since then. It was my old engine and has good power. The heads are 906s and the block is a true HP block (roadrunner or super bee). Has an old .471 purpleshaft w/ matching springs and a 402 oil pan. Also has an Edelbrock 383 Torker intake and 750 double pumper. Now for the bad news, I pulled the heads to inspect the cylinders and they look excellent except for one, which has a groove in it. I was unable to figure out what caused the groove and with the way the engine ran; I’m surprised it even had it.

1970 Challenger hood – The hood is a flat hood that now has a fiberglass 6-pack hood scoop on it. The style of hood looks great; unfortunately the scoop does have an outline where it was installed. It will need some work done to it and be repainted.
70 Challenger R/T SE - The never-ending project........
