Seat Covers...Best Bang for the Buck?
« on: August 11, 2010 - 08:56:55 PM »
Who has the best prices on bucket seat covers?

I'd prefer Legendary, but would settle for PUI if the price was right.

Looking for Blue for 73 E-body.

Thanks!

All the feedback I have gotten for PUI has been negative.

I have never tried anything other than legendary. Have use them 4 times on 4 different cars and never had an issue, so I never shop around for another seller.

I agree that Legendary makes the best product, but you don't always get the best price buying directly from them.

I too, have heard nothing but bad press about PUI, but my budget keeps getting smaller and my local upholsterer doesn't think he can get matching material to repair what I've got. Full cover replacement was not in the original game plan.

Legendary has great customer service too. There are usually 20% sales closer to Christmas if you can hold off. I did that last year for my truck covers.

:iagree: with everyone about Legendary. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Trying to save a buck with another brand to me would be foolish.  :2cents:

Get the best deal you can on the Legendary stuff. You will not regret it. That is Legendary upholstery you see in my sig.  :grinyes:

Legendary - Best quality and the covers are excellent.  If you need photos send me a PM with your e-mail address.  They are nice.  My car is a '73 as well with blue on blue.

I went with Legendary and had custom cloth inserts for my car.  Bought them in 1995 and a person looking at my car asked me yesterday if they were new like so many other items on my car.  They have good quality products and mine have lasted well.  I like the suggestion of getting their product through a reseller for a better discount or waiting until their annual best deal discount.

I'm another Legendary guy here. I had them make up custom covers for my '70, and they fit like a glove. It was money well spent.

I've used P.G. Classics for my last two builds. I have absolutely no complaints. Nice people to deal with besides. I've used PUI items and I am not happy with anything I've purchased. With their stuff there is always a compromise wether it's weather stripping or upholstery. :'(

Rene

Did you do both front and rear? Did you save the old ones? I could probably repair what I have with the material from a rear seat.

BTW, I'm not recovering Hemis or Rallyes, but thanks for the hijack.
