Check in the "Proven Engine Combo" section for some already road proven engine combo's. A lot of good stuff there! :2thumbs:

Prob could get high 11s from it. Good 440 using factory castings - $5500. Trans rebuild - $300 (doing work yourself). Convertor - $800. Gearing the 8 3/4 w/spool $1000. wheels/tires $800. fuel system and gages $1000, ignition whatever's left... If this was a race car and you could gut it and stick a race bucket and frame connectors in there take $300 from selling the interior parts and run that. You should be knocking on the "need a roll bar" zone with that package.

Well, you cant rule out SFI safety equipment and a chassis cert if going better than 10.0   So It gets really expensive.   With 10k the lighter you are the better it is on your wallet.   I would feel naked without a roll bar or cage even in the mid 11's,  It's your life on the line. I did see a guy in Hattiesburg Ms, run a 7.90 1/4 mile time once.  He stacked 3 nitrus plates on top of each other and they taped the doors closed. It was a money race with junkyard engines.  Question is, how long do you want your stuff to last   This guy averaged only 2 passes per engine. But 20k personal grudge races

I dont really care about 11s as long as the brake pedal is firm and there's a full shut down length. But yeah, I agree, it gets really pricy as the ETs drop past 11.49 and then 9.99.
