Hello, this 1970 Cuda is the first car that I ever purchased. I was a senior in high school and paid $1,800 ($500 down and $100 a month until paid off). Originally the Cuda had a 383 but I replaced that with a 440 6 Pack. In 1984 I threw a rod bearing and the car has sat since then. It has been a very long time since I have worked on my Mopar, I have a million questions and appreciate any assistance you can provide.
The engine and trans have been rebuilt so putting them back in the car is the first thing that needs to get accomplished. Thanks to the suggestions posted on this website, I will purchase TTI headers and complete exhaust system. However, I am missing the actual metal brackets that bolt to the engine where the motor mounts attach. If anyone can suggest a good place to get these, please let me know. In fact, here are a few things I need to get before I put the engine and trans back in the car. If you can assist with suggestions what type and where to get, that would be much appreciated.
1.) Metal Brackets (and bolts) that bolt to the engine and where the motor mounts attach. Where can I get these?
2.) Motor mounts. Where can I get these and what type are suggested?
3.) Starter. Are there now light weight or better starters for a 440? Where can I get this and what type is suggested?
4.) Transmission to engine bolts. I think I am missing a few of these. Where can I get these?
