Just to chime in,there is a additive to the radiator you can buy at NAPA that turns yellow in the presence of O2.
I believe it comes as blue.
If it turns yellow you have a cracked head or gasket or thin wall crack.
For the money (6 bucks ) why not?

Jeff, How'd you make out?
I have a clutch fan set up kicking around to try if You don't want to take the Barracuda apart.

Didn`t have time over the weekend.
My buddy also suggested the dye to make sure there is still not a leak.We just did the head gaskets but there may be a crack somewhere?
Tom,maybe I`ll take you up on borrowing your fan setup and we can buff out your scratch at the same time?

If you or a buddy has access to a 4 gas (i.e. smog machine) analyzer, you can use that to sample the air in the radiator. A blown head gasket/crack etc. will show a couple hundred PPM of hydrocarbon on start up cold and change if you rev the engine up. The fluid color change test (the napa fluid mentioned) is reliable as well.

Checked out the radiator for CO and it came up negative so no head gasket leak or cracks in cylinder head or block.Tomorrow night we`ll give the tune up a once over for timing/fuel mixture etc. and go from there.

I run an electric fan on the 440, no problems idling, cruisin', etc. She runs cool.
