Safety check for new upper A arms?
« on: September 19, 2010 - 09:40:03 PM »
Guys so I just finished completing the install of my upper A-arms  :ylsuper: :ylsuper: . So as excited as I was something struck me, I know I checked to make sure all the bolts and pins are properly located. I made sure everything was secure and made sure my brakes were ok, but is there anything you guys do to double check ensuring all points are safe and secure.  ???  Any help will be appreciated so I can get to  :burnout:

It's pretty basic; check for all fasteners properly installed and tightened, all parts clear through entire travel, and get the alignment as close as possible before trying to drive it at all. If all these tests pass, drive the car and see if it passes the all-important test-drive. All is well? Go enjoy the car!

Glad to hear you got er done....Have any problems? Going by Torque specs are a good place to start & there are a couple of bolts on the steering knuckle (I think brake bracket) that use thread lock compound if you removed those. Ive got a service manual if you need any numbers.

Thanks Bullitt I will let you know if I need the service specs. As for problems on the last side I busted my hand pretty good.  :swear:  Boy was I upset, but I am glad I got this done before it became an even bigger issue. Thanks for all you help Bullitt  :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
