SRT8 (?)
« on: October 21, 2010 - 03:01:51 PM »
Just bought a 2009 SRT8 Challenger, I was wondering, what the SRT8 stood for.  I assumed the SRT was        S = sport
R = Road
T = Track
8 = ???

I am sure it is probably something simple  :clueless:
1969 Dodge Charger Daytona Clone 440/727
1970 Dodge Challenger Convertible 340/727
1977 Dodge D-700 Car Hauler 361/5spd
2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 6.1/auto

8 cylinder, I think.

SRT stands for Street and Race Technology, and the 8 designates the number of engine cylinders.
