70 challenger Mirror hole spacing
« on: June 26, 2016 - 06:29:32 PM »
Ok folks I'm new at this so bear with me. I have a 70 challenger originally a 383 2brl.

I am trying to mount my new racing mirrors and the passenger side morning holes are 4" from center to center and the driver side is 3".

Can anyone tell me why this is and what is the best way to make a new hole and patch the old hole? Which hole should I keep (front or rear).

Thanks John

Do you have the mirrors? If so, se what the spacing is on them, I cannot remember and cannot go look at my 70 right now. To figure out which hole to use, use the mirrors and measure the spacing from side to side. 70 was a bit different than the other years.

I'm guess your new mirror matches the driver's side ?
If so, measuring from the front of the door see if with one of the passenger side holes matches up with the measurements from the drivers side, then go from there. You should be able to cover the extra hole. :dunno:
