Correct finish on rear view mirror?
« on: September 28, 2010 - 01:28:15 AM »
My rear view mirror (the indoors one) has some small surface rust spots. The mirror has not been restored since it was new. It looks like a brushed finish. But is it?
If I were to duplicate the factory finísh, what should I do?

I had one that steel wool wouldn't clean up good enough so I used argent silver paint on it.  it came pretty close to the original brushed finish.

Eastwoods "Tank Tone" paint might work too.  It has that flat silver look to it.

What about the grill silver that Totally Auto sells. I think it is a flat silver also.
