I personally would buy from Shermans mainly because I can go and pick the order up and save on the shipping as I'm a tight ass when it comes to money! 

Seriously, now if AMD could bring their dies over here and stamp from USA sheet metal, and fix the TINY glitches in some metal, they would be PERFECT!!!
I would have no problem..I JUST cannot get over the weaker metal aspect..

I am replacing a floor pan in a 72 'Cuda Are all replacements created equal? I've just returned from Cruzin the Coast and Goodmark had a display. They by far have the best prices. Has anyone had experience with thier sheetmetal? Are they all the same gauge thickness? (AMD / Year One / etc.) I am new to this site I hope this is an appropriate question and topic. Thanks!

for the money it all depends on or if you have a budget, I have sold plenty of Goodmark and AMD parts and have customers that prefer one over the other, Some parts one vendor and the other doesnt so you have to figure out what you need and then see whats available. I have seen QC issues with both, AMD and Goodmark, year one doesnt stamp anything they just resell what they can get, sherman is the same as goodmark as they are partners. AMD has a closer tolerence to OE steel thickness but isnt twice the thickness of goodmark as previously stated, we stock most of the e-body parts so if you have a question i can tell you whats what.

I have installed AMD panels on my project and am quite happy with them. I can't tell the difference between them and the factory metal.... except the lack of dents.... and the lack of rust. They don't dent when I lean on them.

I think you have a problem because the aftermarket metal is made outside US. Look at the thickness of the
fenders, hoods etc on new cars, they are just thick enough to have something to paint on but still we don't see
a problem in that. For me the most important is the fitting and that the lines are like they should be, most of us
doesn't drive our Mopars on a daily base like a new daily driver which should make us afraid of getting dents in
the quarters every now and then.

I do have a problem with the metal being made outside the USA..It is weaker, and the integrarty is not the same..PROVEN FACT..
The fitting of the fenders on AMD fenders is CRAP... PROVEN FACT..
Maybe you dont have a problem with the thinner metal cars, I do.. But thats your opinion, and I have mine too..
