Tips for keeping mice out during winter storage?

I used this method last year @ donotchallengher's suggestion and there were no signs of mice in my car or 5th wheel come spring. Seems to work 

Works ever time but the little beggers just wait until you reload or go away, I wouldn't be putting my car into a barn again cause I used to live on a farm and know from first hand experience what damage they do. Not only do they jump high but they also drop down from on high, they have a good bombing site, the Air Force tried to get theirs as accurate.

Break out the mossberg ulta mag 12 ga shot gun,mice just seem to vanish in thin air. 

But it makes such a mess around the paint cans.

 Forget the cat idea, They hop up on top your rag top and piss on it.

I have been told that strategically placed dryer sheets will work, but I've never tried it.

 My cats also jump into my cars and piss on the seats.
