Slap stick Shifter spring

I know this has been posted a bunch of times but all the pics have been removed, can someone post a pic of how the slap stick spring goes on under the console. Mine came off and I have no idea how it goes back on.

those Springs like to pop out. I don't think they do a whole lot anyway. I have ran without them not knowing it was missing.

I put it back on today after seeing the pictures. Its like that spring is for a completely different car. The top hooks in ok but the bottem just sits in the notch. It can slip out the top or bottem theirs nothing to keep it there?

The tension of the spring should keep it in. I think it has something to do with the slapstick, my 74 is not a slapstick, no ratchet thing at the shifter & that has no spring up front.
I did not even know there were NON slapsticks till the first time I put the 74 in low & slapped it right into neutral! Rich.
