Recently I was working in northwest Alabama; while traveling hwy 253 between Fayette and Hamilton took some shots of this pair. A Studebaker Lark and nearby was a 55-56 Packard parked next to an old farm tractor. Look to the background in the fifth picture and the rear bumper can be seen lying in the grass. Dagmars anyone?
Shortly afterwards my route took me onto what is currently known as Corridor X - soon to be I22 where I spotted this sign

The remaining pics are from The Trading Post a few miles further east also on 157. This type of place becomes more common as you leave the larger cities and venture out into the country. My next favorite pastime after junkyarding
Some of the plates were obvious repros (although I can't ever recall seeing that Nixon one
). Others, such as the 'Wallace In '72' plate, seemed to be original. Several old vehicles for sale were parked outside and out back. The Mopars caught my attention to begin with, then the owner came out inviting me to spend as much time as I wanted looking, opening doors, and, when I explained I was returning home to Montgomery, to take as many pics as I wanted both inside and out
