heater/ A/C box restoration questions

Alright, I've managed to get myself this far.
repaired/Restored the HVAC box, check.
Refinished the metal parts, check
Replaced the charcoal foam seals, check
Replaced the gaskets, check.
Tested the heater cores, check..
I have a few questions....

1.) EXACTLY Where does the Dum-Dum caulk go?

2.) where does this seal go?

3.) Is this where this seal goes? (It looks like it went there, as there was evidence from a previous seal) (long slightly thicker seal next to the one I'm holding)


Any help would be appreciated.

The dum dum caulk seals the two halves together on final assembly.

I re built a non A/C but not an A/C unit. I think where you show the flapper vent is where the foam glues to the edge.

What did you do for a guide/instructions on how to do this?  I need to do the same on my 73 with A/C.  Did you use a kit and if so from where?  I think redoing my dash/wiring/AC/Stereo all at once is going to be my big wintertime project.

I got the Kit from DMT technologies. They are awesome!
Highly recommended.
DMT has a website that has the how-to, as a downloadable PDF. I printed it out and used it a s a cheat sheet. JIC. I needed it more than I thought.
Kit costs 70$ and worth every penny.
I found out where it went. It was the flapper seal for the metal plate with two screws.
The Dum-Dum was a little tougher to figure out. hope I got it right

The pics shows where it was: The piece with 2 screws in it..
