B-Body 8-3/4 hosing and axles
« on: October 06, 2010 - 10:52:13 AM »
I have a 66 B-Body 8-3/4 housing and axles that I will be selling and want to know what they are worth.  It is 54" overall in width and 44" center to center on the perches.  I am pretty sure this is idea for sticking under an E-Body ion order to get bigger tires in the wheel wells. Anybody recently buy one and know the going rate?

Thanks in advance

I think 66 is an inch shorter than 67 68 69   average cost is between 150 and 250.  Some search for a 66 rear

Try and find someone with an A-body that wants it!  ;D

The earlier B housings are shorter, as you mentioned. That makes them the best fit other than an A-body housing for the A-bodies. And since A-body housings go for twice as much (or more!) than B or E body housings, its a fairly common swap. The later (longer) B body housings require more backspacing in an A body, so they don't work as well. My understanding is that even though the perches are a little wider, they can be made to fit without relocating the perches by opening up the location holes in the perches.

I have a '65 B body housing for my bronze car  :naughty:
