Rear Shock Bolt Size?

I have been looking at my rear shock mounts and noticed the bolts are from the look of them to small.
The car has had a good loud clunking sound when hitting a good bump, I am hopeful that this is the problem.
Anyone know what size they should be?

Are you talking about the bolts that hold the top and bottom of the shock in place? They are substantial, I'll guess 3/8" in size (I'm fairly sure). It should be slightly difficult to push the bolt thru the bushing of the shock. If you have a clunk in that region, you also have to question if the shocks are dead or not.

I believe the upper shock bolt is 7/16 in diameter or 1/2 " if I am wrong but hte bolt should just slide through the hole in the shock , definatly bigger hen 3/8 though
