340 Oil Pressure Sender Location ??

What is the factory location of the sender unit on a 340?  The guy that built my car put in an aftermarket gage using plastic tubing into the passenger compartment.  The fitting for the compression nut goes into a 1/8" NPT hole at the back of the passenger side head.  Same place for the factory sender? The tubing broke at the fitting.  What a mess.     I want to go to an electrical gage - either the rally gage or an aftermarket under the dash.  I was planning to do this anyway.   

Also, is the sender unit the same whether the car had idiot light or gage?

Next to the distributor there is an 1/8" NPT hole.  That's where it goes.

Pretty sure the sender is different for Rallye vs. non.

If you go aftermarket, it'll come with (or you'll have to buy separately) a specific sending unit.

I have an oil fed gauge that I installed in 1974.  It is located at the rear of engine intake manifold, next to distributor as Brooks said in the above post.
