This is probably a Barry question....

I have not seen this car in person (yet) to get tag info, but it's got a pretty high VIN and was built in 6-72, according to the door tag.

How close to "the end" of 72 was this?

I'm curious about this too. The last month of production was July 72 for the 72 model year so there's still another months worth of cars that went through...

I don't know anything about 72s, but my 73 has a fender tag date of 6/22 and a VIN of 527xxx.

Scheduled '72 production actually went into August. The highest Hamtramck VIN I have seen so far is just over 530xxx. The scheduled production date on the tag is 803 for August 3rd.

For '73 Hamtramck also went into August. The highest VIN I have seen so far is in the 611xxx range. I do not have a scheduled production date for it though. They did go to at least August 10th though.
