I've heard the main problem with parts like these(grills, fan shrouds exc...) has been warpage when they get hot.  Some have had there shrouds sag into the fan blades.  Others have reported grills warping badly when set in the sun.(still in their boxes)  It looks like these grills are injection moulded which is good.  I think the main issue is with parts that are vacume formed.

Mike at BE&A has been on the fence as to whether it would be profitable to reproduce this grill.  If he does, there should be no question about its quality.  I'm interested to see how this grill turns out.  I know you 71 owners need to take out a second mortgage to buy one now and it will still need work in order to fit.

It's looking more and more like Mike is going to pass on making the injected 71 Cuda grilles. Just too large of an investment for too small of a market. I totally understand. That's business.
Maybe the other guys can figure out how to make a cast grille. With the new technologies in plastics, it's possible that they might come up with a solution. At least I hope so. With two 71's, I'm bound to need another grille at some point.
