Need an electrical section
« on: October 02, 2004 - 09:26:25 PM »
I think the layout we have is pretty nice but it would be great to have a catch-all electrical section for folks with various electrical issues

whaddya think?

I dont know about you but I would interpret "Interior and Guages" to be confined to seats, carpet, upholstery, dash, instruments and things INSIDE the cabin.

Truly, any external electrical questions like lights, will lead into the cabin but it just seems like a more organized form to keep, questions regarding electrical in an purely electrical forum. In the present form you will have some electrical found in the "Interior and Guages" among numerous non re-related seats and carpet items. Under hood electrical, perhaps found in the "engine and go-fast goodies" or "Rest of the Tech"?

Obviously, the current format is working and people are getting great answers in all of them (I know I am). I think a catch-all topic such as I suggest, keeps the other forums more on topic. Unless you would make a case for a designated electrical section being too general?

I'd have to agree with you Mike.  It would be nice to have a section totally for electrical.

Maybe we should split them up...One topic on Electrical and one topic on Interiors.

Ross, can we do this?  (Mike, Ross is the administrator)

Hey Ross, what do you think?  It does get confusing as to where you put electrical stuff...if it's in the engine bay, you wouldn't think to put it in interior/guages.
