1970 Challenger 318 to 440 rebuild
« on: October 30, 2010 - 04:30:52 PM »
Wanted to post some pictures of the project I am working on. My Challenger began its life as a 318 but I am currently rebuilding a 440-6 to put in. Hopefully all goes smoothly. I broke the 440 down and sent it to the machine shop today to be vatted, bored, and to have the heads ported. Working on buying a new cam and kit, crank, pistons, and bearings.

The 440 is definitely in need of some work. Look at what I pulled out of the crank case.
