Danny,

The last 22 years it has lived in Independence, Wisconsin and now out west in Edmonds, Washington.    40k original miles, no rust and it shows!

Wanted to get some feedback on the following;  I have two 1970 Challengers and plan on putting one (the Plum Crazy 340 car) up for sale. Based on condition, I am considering swaping out a couple of parts from one car to the other, but want to be certain that in the end I don't trade out irreplaceable date/numbers matching parts from my TA.  The parts I would like to swap out are:  reverse & tail lights, bumpers and a new dash pad (VIN numbers to be correctly moved).

Are the noted parts date/numbers matched to a car or not?  Any reasons for not doing this?

Thanks

As long as you are careful about reinstalling the VIN tags correctly, there is no problem.  And Bumpers and tail lights aren't date coded.
Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the FE5 T/A club!
Seeing the picture of yours makes me wish I could figure out a way to get the long term restoration of mine going, mine is an FE5 with black vinyl top 4 speed, I wish it was home in my garage finished, I miss it!!!

She is a beauty!  We do need more pics though. Just a personal thing but those truck mud flaps would be the first to go. Sorry but they don't do anything for the look of the car.  :2cents:
