getting closer.  finally have drive train installed.  wiring 3/4 done.  hope to have interior installed this week.  never realized the energy and effort needed to complete a project like this.  I have studied the manuals so long I see wiring diagrams in my sleep.  all lights work, but turn signals have a bug.  working on it. leaned al lot in the process and from this site. my buddy "mopar steve" will be down this weekend to grade my work and help fire car.  3 fire extinguishers, garden hose and a priest standing by.  keeping my fingers crossed.

I would leave the garden hose outside.  Two brothers I know started a 71 Charger in their garage.  It backfired.  The carb started burning off extra fuel.  The one brother was in the car cranking it to draw the fire back down into the engine.  The other brother panicked. He put the hose in the carb.  The fire went out and the motor stopped cranking because it filled with water.  Another more serious thing happened to another I know.  They had a garden hose in the event of fire while starting a car.  The car backfired.  They had a rubber fuel line from a gas can supplying fuel to the engine.  When the car backfired they tried to use the garden hose to put it out.  Somehow the line going to the can caught fire.   When they sprayed it with the garden hose, the fire stayed on the top of the water with the fuel and ignited the garage.  Good luck with your car.  It looks really nice.  Use the fire extingishers.  They have chemicals that wll put out the fire.

P.S. the garden hose reference was just my attempt at humor.  The priest will be there to sprinkle the car with holy water and is fully trained in exorcisms (just in case).

Haha!  Awesome.  Good luck with getting her going.  Sweet looking car!

If you didn't know, the turn sigs can be a hassle if they don't have a good ground at the socket.  Electrical feedback can happen and make weird stuff pop up.  But your priest should be able to take care of the weird stuff too while he is there...
