Need some number crunchers.....

Ok, so I got this little book of part numbers and it ain't worth the paper it's writ on when it comes to this 4-speed I took in on trade.....

I think it's gotta be a 1970-74 B/E body 4 gear as it has the dual shifter patterns, but all my part numbers begin with either 2400238(1962)- 3780234(1974)..
And guess what?? Not narry one of the numbers on MY trans matches ANY of these numbers..

Here goes...First, the machined pad...

"3B 179775"
underneath this number
"PP 8334070"


I think these are the casting numbers for the case and tailshaft, but these were RAISED and cast in the metal..
Case= "C   99129"
Tailshaft= "C   99539"...


What is this thing as I need to order a front bearing as some dipsh*t robbed the front bearing off the input as well as the throwout bearing collar.....

Cooter,  I can give you part of it.  PP(new process transmission) 833 (833 4 speed) 4070 ( Built Sept. 18 1973) It must be a 23 spline trasmission. It should have 4 digits of the VIN after the date code.

Wonder why this one doesn't have the Part numbers like the others? there are NO numbers like the ones in my book? The ONLY numbers after the "4070" is "005"....

Hmmmm, Maybe they didn't stamp 'em like that after '72?
It's ok, you guys have helped more than you know..At least I can give the poor guy a the local NAPA SOMETHING to go by...My book doesn't show but a handfull of '74 cars and only ONE 1973 car with 4-speed with B/E body dual pattern tailshaft...a 360 4BBL, in an E-body..

I googled c 99129 and it came up Mopar's Infamous Hemi - 426 HEMI Registry
It was a 1970 with a Vitamin C paint job. Was a Automatice car. ..... AND ID NUMBERS CASTING NUMBER C 99129 H MATCHES ID NUMBER 0G784743 MATCHES REAR END ID

THENUMBERS ON THE TRANSMISSION ARE: H3 C99129; ON THE SIDE COVER ... Above the c99129 on the main case is a flat pad with numbers stamped ...

It could be an over the counter replacement transmission from a Mopar dealer.

No need, one of the other members that didn't see a problem with the "Implied Profanity"  (I've seen it spelled out clearly on this site). Helped me figure it out. But I want to be a team player, so I deleted it anyway...Thanks..

Thank you! You got most of it. 

In person, it goes in one ear, out the other & it is gone. Typed out on a forum, it is there forever. It also takes extra typing when they can be left out, so it also saves time. 

This site used to be heavily touted as 'family friendly' but that has definately slipped some since one moderator left.
