PPG Concept Single Stage Paint Help
« on: December 07, 2010 - 06:07:51 PM »
Hey guys. I'm set on using PPG DCC Concept Single Stage paint for my build. Canada prohibits this paint to be brought into the country as of July 2010. Canadian distributors can sell it off there shelf for another month – if they have any. I have called everywhere to get my hands on some Hemi-Orange over the past months without any luck. Anyone have any ideas? Should I chance bringing it across the boarder? Has anyone here, who lives in Canada found a way around this dilemma? I'm desperate since it's December already. Thanks everyone.  :clueless:

Border might be up and up on paint types now. Ya never know.

You could go to a auto body store and ask them that you want 2 used, empty paint cans with good labels on them.

Clean em up real good first with Laquer Thinner. Go over the border then pour the PPG paint you're after in them so they look like water borne or whatever you're allowed there. Then head home.

good luck!

God bless you Mike. It is that type of thinking that makes me glad I live in America. Of course we are in California and must fight this type of Environmental "regulation" (shall we say?) all the time! Creative thinking.

I'm off to Nevada to buy some ammo now, goodnight!

Thanks Mike. I like it. Thanks again for lending me your vise-grip flange tool.
