72 Challenger Rear Bumper Guards
« on: December 06, 2010 - 10:04:51 PM »
Are the rear bumper guards on a Challenger right and left or does it not matter which side they go on? My drivers side doesn't sit square to the bumper its cocked. The bracket and guard may be bent or I could have 2 right side guards.

Thanks,
Brian

I believe they are indeed right and left...Brackets are a slight bit cocked...

Thanks Cooter,

The rear valance and bumper guards aren't lining up very well. Something is up.

The guards are made on an angle to compensate for the angle of the bumper.  This way they are straight on the rear of the car. When you stand away from the car are your guards both angled a little inward or a little outward?

Challenger6pak,

I'm pretty sure they are both angled outward. I think. So it sounds like they are definately left and right guards. I think the drivers side is a little wonky, probably seen some abuse.

Thanks,
Brian

Unless he wants to fill the holes in the rear valance, he has to keep the guards.  72 used the same ones as 70-71.  It was 73 when they got huge.
