Parking brake cables

Not sure if this goes here or in the The Body Shop section....   Anyway my car was missing all of the parking brake cables, so I need all new ones.  It appears that 1970 had a single intermediate cable and the 71-74 cars used two intermediate cables.  Is that correct? 

It would seem that with my subframe connectors it would be easier to route the single intermediate cable.  Is there any reason you can't run the single intermediate cable on a 71-74 car?  Any disadvantages?

I don't think 1970 uses an intermediate cable.  The DS rear cable is short...the PS rear cable is long.  The PS cable runs over to the DS and both cables go into one bracket on the inside of the DS frame rail.  I "THINK" the front cable on a 1970 is really long, and goes all the way back to connect to the rear cables.

71-74 uses two shorter rear cables.  Each cable clips into its own bracket.  Meaning that 71-74 uses two brackets (one on each side) to hold the rear cables.  The front cable is short and connects to the intermediate cable.  Then the ends of the intermediate cable connect to the end of each rear cable.

If you want to run the 1970 set-up you will need the correct bracket to hold the rear cables.  You will also need the bracket on the floor pan (right in front of the rear axle)  that holds the PS (long) rear cable to the floor pan.
