Author Topic: Are 73 B Body Seat Belts interchangeable with same year E Bodies? (Read 990 times)

I've seen a lot of B Body seat belts sets for sale at lower prices than similar original E Body sets. I've got the opportunity to pick up a clean set from a 73 Charger that looks very close to the ones in my 73 Barracuda. Does anyone know if these are the same belts & retractors or are there differences between 73 B Body & E Body sets? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The big difference that I am aware of is in the base housings. They are taller for the Chargers because the seat base was higher than the Challengers and Cudas.

Any idea if you can swap the lower/shorter housings from the EBody to the BBody retractors? Thanks for the info.

I would think the rears are different, too. It would be a crap shoot to see if they would interchange. It wouldn't be pretty to come up with snake eyes.
