axles and diff replaced, whats worth keeping
« on: December 16, 2010 - 02:07:34 PM »
In my 8 3/4 rear end I went from the stock open 2.76 diff to a 3.55 true trac with new axles and green bearings.  I now have the 2.76 open diff and stock axles left over.  All the bearings and gears are junk.  Is there anything worth keeping?  I remember hearing about axle adjusters being rare parts that I should hold onto, is that it?

Thanks,
David

Adjusters can strip.  If you have the space I would keep the small parts that are reusable.  Someone will need them eventually.
