so i picked up a 73 challenger in ny nice motor tranny rear and new leafsprings. She made a drive home over an hour with fake plates
got her home registered it and went to take it to the body shop she died and kept dying every couple of blocks after it got warm. the motor is a 383 that is suppposed to be built with forged pistons and rods and all that good stuff and a holly 750 double pumper carb on it. Im just starting to get into the project. And the front wheels are crosseyed which maks driving the car sound like im in a police chase from an 80s movie

Welcome to the site!
Let me be the first....
Sounds like the ballast resistor or the electronic ignition box? Or the fuel pump or fuel pump rod? Does it fire up right away? Do you think it's a ignition or fuel problem?
